Goodwood Festival of Speed
If you’re a big fan of cars and bikes, you’ll love the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This ‘Glastonbury style’ site features some of the best racers in the world who battle it out head to head. Over the four days of this motorhome adventure, there are lots of things to do. Including black tie balls, great races to witness, and of course, the experience of being on the campsite as well. When Oli Webb was given a chance to get involved, he couldn’t say no. Particularly when he was provided with everything he needed by Freedom to Go and Baileys of Bristol!
Tour of the United Kingdom
Liss fulfilled a lifelong dream when she quit her dreary corporate job, sold all her belongings and bought a 55-year-old caravan with the mission of exploring the length and breadth of the UK as part of an exciting motorhome adventure. Despite already travelling over the world, she really wanted to explore new places closer to home. Her experiences were a far cry from her previous lifestyle, where she had countless opportunities to drive to the middle of nowhere, open up the windows and watch the serene night sky. She admits to loving the experience, attributing the simplicity of nature and tranquil settings in bringing further clarity to her mind. Because she has all her creature comforts close by, she always feels at home, no matter where she is based.
The Isle of Wight and Beyond
Despite only being six months old when first visiting the Isle of White with her own parents, Sharon Murrell set a new record with her own son. He was at the tender age of just six weeks old when she took him camping to his first show. Now, she travels all over the UK alongside her husband, Keith. Attending car shows and showing off their pristine 1937 Ford Hot Rod. Just some of the shows she’s had the chance to experience include Wilton Classic and Supercar Show and Victory Wheelers Rod and Custom Show in Hayling Island and Beaulieu. A particular highlight for the couple was back in 2014 where they were invited to Car Fest in Alton by the one and only Chris Evans. Another major highlight of the couple’s many motorhome adventures was when they visited the New Forest Caravan Club Centenary site in Hampshire. Sharon and Keith admit that they would love to attend the Le Mans endurance race in future and are already planning the route.
