Tyne Valley Motorhomes are offering a fantastic opportunity for apprentice technicians to join their busy workshops learning how to maintain and repair Caravans and Motorhomes and become an industry specific qualified engineer. Working in conjunction with the AWS (Approved Workshop Scheme), NCC (National Caravan Council) and Emtec’s Caravan & Motorhome Training Facility – based in Nottingham, the aim of the scheme is to specifically develop technician apprentices to equip them with the highest level of skills and practical ability within the Caravan and Motorhome industry
The comprehensive 3 year programme provides you with an exciting and challenging opportunity to achieve formal qualifications through extensive product training, while in full-time employment. Full training will be provided to the right person, where you will be taught the duties of the department including:
To support the development of apprentices further the NCC has worked with the manufacturing supply chain including AL-KO, Truma, Whale and Thetford in the development and delivery of dedicated modules of training that are included to add real value to the programme.
Desired Skills include: Practical, Efficient , Good customer service skills, Mechanically minded, Eager to learn
Personal qualities – The ideal candidate would be:
Qualifications required – A* – D in Maths/English (or equivalent) essential
Hours of work are full time – 40 hours per week 8.30am-5pm 5 days a week (hours may vary depending on location).
As part of the team you will be given the opportunity to further your career with the many training opportunities on offer. Attractive salaries and benefits are available for all depending on experience. The company also offers a pension scheme which will be available upon successful completion of your 3 month trial period.
Future prospects – Upon successful completion and review of the Level 2 Apprenticeship the post holder will progress to a level 3 Apprenticeship
Things to consider – Candidate must be able to travel to the workplace according to working hours. Candidates must be willing to travel to the EMTEC training centre in Ruddington, Nottingham to complete the block release training – Tyne Valley will cover the cost for these residential training days.
