Following the launch of our ‘Bucket List’ of locations to visit whilst on your motorhome travels, here are the destinations we have selected for June:
Destination number 36: Pickering, North Yorkshire. The historic market town of Pickering is a great location from which to explore North Yorkshire, the Yorkshire Coast, Dalby Forest and the beautiful North York Moors. Highlights to visit include Pickering Castle, Beck Isle Museum and the 12th century parish church of St Peter’s and St Paul’s which is home to some wonderful 15th century paintings. No visit would be complete without taking a ride on a stream train on the North Yorkshire Moors Heritage Railway. A great place to park your motorhome is the Black Bull Caravan Park which offers a wide range of on-site facilities including a games room, crazy golf course, children’s playground and a Camping Essentials Shop. Destination number 37: Lulworth Estate, Dorset. This stunning estate is set in 20 miles of rolling countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and features 5 miles of World Heritage Jurassic Coast. This unique coastline is home to Lulworth Cove and the incredible Durdle Door natural limestone arch and beach. The estate is also home to the beautiful 17th century Lulworth Castle and Park. The camping and touring park on the estate offers an ideal place for you to stay with your motorhome and provides excellent facilities including a cafe bar, children’s play areas, on-site shop and the options of either a country view or sea view pitch.
