Destination number 38: Portree, Isle of Skye. The Isle of Skye is a simply stunning must-visit location with unrivalled landscape and scenery. Connected to Scotland’s northwest coast by bridge, it offers beautiful rugged landscapes, picturesque fishing villages and medieval castles. The town of Portree is the capital of the Isle and is a great base for exploring, set on a lovely bay and offering great pubs and unique shops. The Isle of Skye has an abundance of attractions, highlights including the Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing, Kilt Rock, the Cuillin and the magical Fairy Pools of Glen Brittle. Destination number 39: The Isle of Anglesey, Wales. This beautiful island is set off the northwest coast of Wales and makes a fantastic holiday destination due to huge range of attractions and the stunning natural scenery. Highlights to visit include the 13th Century Beaumaris Castle and the Beaumaris Gaol, the Anglesey Sea Zoo, the Amlwch Copper Kingdom and Cors Erddreiniog which is the largest fen on the island. No visit would be complete without a walk along the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, with much of the island’s coastline being recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can park your motorhome at Y Fronydd Caravan and Camping Park which is a family-run park on a working farm set in a rural area 4 miles from a beach and is a great location from which to explore the island.
