Auto -Trail motorhome expansion begins
It’s only been just over 12 years since Auto-Trail moved to a purpose-built factory at the Europarc complex near Grimsby but work has now started on a new multi-million pound factory extension. The nine-month build programme is scheduled for completion during the summer of 2016. Once complete, this Europarc production plant will become the largest and most modern dedicated motorhome factory in the UK with production capacity exceeding 3,000 vehicles per year.
Auto-Trail is owned by the French based Trigano Group which is financing this 5,500 sq mtrs factory development. In addition to this factory expansion plan, a further 3.5 acres of adjoining land has been purchased from Wykelands Ltd, the original developers of the Europarc business park. The new land will cater for all logistic needs involved in the despatch of completed motorhomes.
Two local companies are actively involved in this new development with all architectural and project management work being handled by C R Parrott’s and the building contract being awarded to Cube3 Construction.
