We’re thrilled to announce that Tyne Valley Motorhomes has been crowned UK Motorhome Dealer of the Year 2026 at the prestigious Out and About Motorhome Awards 2026.
This is an extra-special milestone for us as a true family-run business based in Burnopfield, near Newcastle upon Tyne, which began 30 years ago with a simple idea and a lot of hard work.
A proud moment for our family business
Tyne Valley Motorhomes was founded three decades ago by Derek Armstrong, father of our Managing Director, Jonathan Bell. Derek’s vision was to create a friendly, honest motorhome dealership where customers felt genuinely looked after.
From day one, Derek’s wife Elaine has been involved in the business, and Jonathan’s sister Carolyn now leads our aftersales team, keeping our long-standing customers on the road and happy.
At a special awards ceremony held at the Savoy Hotel in London, our Directors Elaine and Jonathan were proud to accept the award on behalf of everyone at Tyne Valley Motorhomes.

What makes this award truly meaningful is that it is voted for solely by customers. Our customer base stretches from the Shetland Islands in the far north to the Isle of Wight in the south, and just about everywhere in between.
