Travel Bucket List – Destinations released in October

Following the launch of our ‘Bucket List’ of locations to visit whilst on your motorhome travels, here are the destinations we have selected for October:

Destination number 16: City of Cambridge. Take a punting tour through the heart of the city on the River Cam and observe the stunning architecture of the famous colleges such as Corpus Christi, Magdalene and the Bridge of Sighs. Visit King’s College Chapel, indulge in some retail therapy in the many independent shops and stop for a bite to eat at one of the numerous exclusive restaurants. Cambridge Cherry Hinton Caravan Club Park is a good place to park your motorhome and has cycling paths into Cambridge, a nature reserve and chalk pits to visit. Destination number 17: Harrogate, North Yorkshire. This spa town is a great tourist destination as it offers visitors a huge range of sights and activities to take in. The Royal Pump Room Museum in the Montpellier Quarter is well worth a visit, as is the restored, Moorish-style Turkish Baths & Health Spa. The leafy Valley Gardens are stunning and feature the beautiful art deco Sun Pavilion. The town has a great range of boutiques and independent shops and a huge selection of restaurants, wine bars and pubs. Harrogate is the location for many national shows across the year and any visit would not be complete without a stop off at Betty’s Cafe Tea Rooms for tea and cakes! Destination number 18: Farne Islands, Northumberland. The stunning National Trust Nature Reserve of The Farne Islands is situated 2-3 miles off the beautiful Northumberland coast. You can take a boat ride out to the islands which are home to a huge seabird and grey seal colony. Over 37,000 pairs of Puffins live on the islands alongside over 1,000 Grey Seal pups which are born every Autumn. The islands are also ideal for whale and dolphin watching, as well as being a picturesque location for a spot of sailing.
