Reception

Tyne Valley Motorhomes is a family run business. Established 16 years ago initially by Derek and Elaine.

The company is now run by their son Jonathan as well as Elaine, whilst Derek still being involved takes a well earned back seat.

Jonathan is responsible for managing the day to day running of the business, whilst Elaine keeps him in check dealing with all the financial side of the business.

The original site of TVM was at Pickering Nook where we were based for 5 years.

In 2005 we out grew our Pickering Nook site and were fortunate in finding the perfect location not too far from our original site we are now based in Byermoor. This site has required significant re development and we have worked for the past 4 years on getting the site just as we like it.

As a direct result of our move we have expanded our service department from 1 bay to 4, increased the amount of motorhomes on display (Always over 70 New and Used Motorhomes in stock) and introduced more new franchises (inc Bessacarr Motorhomes, Escape, Auto Trail, Compass, Elddis, Hobby and Autocruise). However, there is still work in progress to expand our office facilities and introduce an accessories area.

We have very strong family values, we value our customers and we are confident that we offer our customers a unique service as a result.

I am the main point of contact within Tyne Valley Motorhomes and responsible for both sales and aftersales. I have two lovely daughters Freya and Emily as you can see and when I'm not at work (Hmmmm)!!! I love spending time with them and playing football... Sales Manager

I joined the company in April 2004, as Sales Manager i am responsible for the Sales Department and have 20 years experience within Sales in the Lesuire and Motor Industry.Outside of work i enjoy playing football for the Tyne Valley Motor Homes Football Team and general keep fit,i have a eight year old daughter at home so she keeps me and my wife Carol busy for the rest of my spare time.

I thoroughly enjoy my work as a Sales Executive with this family run business.

It provides a great opportunity for me to meet many people during the course of my working day.

When not spending time with my family my hobbies include playing and watching football.

Janet Thompson

Warranty Administration

I joined the company in August 2007 and helped in many roles in the Aftersales Dept including Service Reception, Warranty and Parts. I also liaise with the garages to organize mechanical servicing and MOTs. My previous experience working at one of the major UK motorhome manufacturers helps me in my current role as Warranty Administrator. I am the only “lady motorbiker” at Tyne Valley Motorhomes and when not at work I enjoy rides out with my husband, backpacking in the Scottish and Lake District hills or I’m at home gardening.

Internet Administration / Motorhome Handovers

I joined Tyne Valley Motorhomes shortly after retirement from a 30 year career in public service which also coincided with purchase of a motor home. Staff here are a friendly bunch so it is a real pleasure to be involved with the publicity and promotion aspect of the company. Needless to say my wife and I love camping and get away as much as possible in our third 'van' in five years....!

Hobbies include photography, computing, keep fit, gardening and railway modelling.
